The Ben Ten Alien Force TV series of space hero cartoons seems to be going from strength to strength. The third film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) follows a new revelation dealing with further Transformer involvement in human history, with a story that arcs back to a Secret History involving the first moon landing in 1969 and finding the lost warrior and Optimus' mentor Sentinel Prime.
The introduction of the Dinobots threw such a cool spanner into the Transformers
universe - instead of having alt modes designed for subterfuge, these five mighty warriors transformed into the massive reptiles that ruled the Earth before humans came along.
Megatron then however found himself teaming up with Team Prime, at that time, to counter the threat of Unicron After Unicron's defeat Megatron found himself both in a mission to retrieve the Iacon relic weapons as well as keep his troops in line from various in fighting among the ranks which resulted in a few casualties and several betrayals Eventually fighting for the restoration of Cybertron and cyberforming of Earth, which was foiled by Optimus, but Megatron had his revenge and used the Nemesis to destroy the Autobot base before setting up the new fortress of Darkmount Shortly after the destruction of the base Megatron sent massive search parties to find the surviving Autobots and was even given a Predacon to look for them.
Attaching the toy opens a latch and releases the wings of Optimus Prime automatically. Easily convertible into his modes, this Bumblebee figure allows kids to play him either in robot or car mode. Pinning down Sam, threatening to torture him after acquiring what he needed, Megatron orders Scalpel to extract the Energon information from Sam's brain (ordering him to actually remove his brain), but they are quickly stopped by Optimus Prime.
Starscream is another of those toys few kids could resist from tearing out of the box. Beast Wars was sometimes almost careless with how they killed certain characters; a few times they were intended to be dead but Hasbro insisted they bring them back. In this series, since we're talking about the Transformers, it is important to also provide a share of the Decepticons as they are also Transformers just like the Autobots.
The 4 vehicles that combined with the robot were small, lacking the intricate detail that made other toys in the line popular. This time around Megatron's alt-mode is a tank. According to an early interview with Michael Bay, Megatron stands at 41 ft (12 m) tall, 32 but according to his profile in the second issue of the Transformers UK comic Megatron stands "35 feet (10.6 m) tall" and weighs 8.6 tons.
